Emmanuel Wong - Clinical assistant professor
Emmanuel is a Clinical Assistant Professor in Cardiology at the University of Hong Kong. After completing his medical degree at the University of Hong Kong, he specialized in structural heart intervention at Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong.
As a visiting researcher at Sinha Lab, his research focuses on developing safe cell-based therapies for heart failure using pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes. His current work involves developing specialized differentiation protocols to generate cardiomyocytes with targeted phenotypes, while assessing their engraftment efficiency and proarrhythmic potential using human myocardial slice culture models.
In his free time, he enjoys hiking and playing bridge.
