Christine Cheung, 2009-2012
Christine Cheung is a Nanyang Assistant Professor in Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University Singapore. She received a PhD in Cardiovascular and Stem Cell Medicine from the University of Cambridge under the mentorship of Dr Sanjay Sinha, and a BEng (First Class) from Imperial College London. For her pioneering approach in creating origin-specific vascular smooth muscle cells in Sinha Lab, she was recognised with the Young Investigator Prize from the British Society for Cardiovascular Research. Notably, she is currently a World Economic Forum Young Scientist, Life Science Fellow of L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science National Fellowship and a Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP) Young Investigator.
