Anna Pullinger, Graduate student
Anna graduated from the University of Leeds with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry in 2019. After spending a couple of years working in industry, she returned to academia in 2021 to complete the 1+3 year British Heart Foundation MRes + PhD programme at the University of Cambridge. Completing a 10 week rotation in the Sinha lab sparked a particular interest in stem cell biology, and Anna has rejoined the group to complete her PhD in collaboration with the Davenport lab group. Her research focusses on developing a stem cell model of aging cardiomyocytes and studying the effects of aging on cardiomyocytes in relation to GPCR signalling in cardiovascular disease.
Outside of the lab, Anna loves to travel, especially to places where she can go scuba diving, and is a keen ballet dancer.
