Anja Schweikert, visiting mphil student

Anja pursued her MPhil at the University of Tübingen and wrote her Master Thesis in the Sinha lab. Her project was titled “Biophysical properties of human iPSC-derived vascular smooth muscle cells in health and disease”. Together with Dr Aishwarya Griselda and Dr Deeti Shetty she established the traction force microscopy methodology in the Sinha lab and applied it to investigate different aortic diseases.

Anja is now starting her PhD in Dublin where she will model familial pulmonary fibrosis lung disease using patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cells."
